How to test RoHS standards
Send the relevant products to a professional laboratory for testing. The products should be divided into a single and uniform material for testing. Six harmful substances, including lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), meet the requirements of the RoHS directive. If they meet the requirements, they can obtain a RoHS qualification report and certificate. If they do not meet the requirements, they must be replaced with another product that meets the requirements.
The following are the limits for six harmful substances specified in China's RoHS testing:
1. Products using lead (Pb) 1000ppm: solder, glass, PVC stabilizer
2. Mercury (Hg) 1000ppm Products using this substance: temperature controllers, sensors, switches and relays, light bulbs
3. Products using cadmium (Cd) 100ppm: switches, springs, connectors, housings and PCBs, contacts, batteries
4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr 6+) 1000ppm Product using this substance: Metal anti-corrosion coating
5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBS) 1000ppm Products using this substance: flame retardants, PCBs, connectors, plastic shells
6. Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) 1000ppm products using this substance: flame retardants, PCBs, connectors, plastic shells
