Vibration testing is the oscillation phenomenon of motion (displacement, velocity, and acceleration) in mechanical systems.
The purpose of vibration
Vibration testing mainly involves environmental simulation, with test parameters including frequency range, vibration amplitude, and test duration. The impact of vibration on products includes: structural damage, such as structural deformation, product cracks or fractures; Product functional failure or poor performance, such as poor contact, relay malfunction, etc., does not constitute permanent damage, as once the vibration is reduced or stopped, work can be restored to normal; Technological damage, such as loosening or detachment of screws or connectors. From the perspective of the development trend of vibration testing technology, multi-point control technology and multi machine joint excitation technology will be adopted.
Simulate vibration conditions in various environments, such as sea, land, and air transportation, to verify the functional characteristics of the product.
Reference standards:
ASTM D4728-06
Different countries, regions, and industries have different standard systems, such as ASTM, ISTA, MIL, EN, IEC, ETSI, JIS, SAE, JASO, ISO, IEC, AEC, etc. Common vibration test standards include GB2423, GJB150A, GJB360, GJB548, GJB4, GJB367A, GB25119, GB21563, GB6587, GB11287, GB16806, QC413, ISO16750, GB4857, IEC60068.
