1、 What is WIFI certification?

Wi Fi CERTIFIED is an internationally recognized product certification standard, which means that the product has reached the standards recognized by the industry in terms of interoperability, security and a series of application specific protocols. The Wi Fi CERTIFIED product has undergone rigorous testing in our independent authorized testing laboratory. When a product successfully passes the test, the manufacturer or distributor is authorized to use the Wi Fi CERTIFIED logo. Certification means that a product has been tested in various configurations with other devices, and the devices used for testing need to be extracted in different ways to verify that the product has interoperability with other Wi Fi CERTIFIED devices operating in the same frequency band.

A wide range of consumer, enterprise and operator specific products, including smart phones, home appliances, computers and peripherals, network infrastructure and consumer electronics, can be certified. On the retail end, the Wi Fi CERTIFIED logo can give consumers confidence in the product, ensuring that it provides a good user experience and meets industry standards. Service providers and enterprise IT managers specify that the product must have Wi Fi CERTIFIED to reduce support costs and ensure that the product meets industry recognized requirements. Only a member company of the Wi Fi Alliance can conduct product certification testing and use the Wi Fi CERTIFIED logo and related trademarks.

2、 How to join a member?

Joining the Wi Fi Alliance is a key strategic element in providing Wi Fi solutions and services. In our industry-leading collaboration forum, multiple Wi Fi and WiGig technologies for the future are significantly developing. Our world-class certification program validates the best user experience and has the authority to stamp approval stamps that are highly sought after worldwide. Since March 2000, Wi Fi Alliance member companies have developed and launched over 15 certification programs.

So far, our over 600 member companies have certified over 15000 products through our 18 authorized testing laboratories located worldwide, and this number is still increasing day by day. Being a member of our alliance and participating in our interoperability program and market development work means that you and your customers will be able to get the best experience of using Wi Fi products and services.

Join the membership today and let's work together to promote the future development of wireless. After your application is accepted by our board of directors, the Wi Fi Alliance staff will generally send you relevant notifications and invoices via email within ten working days. Your membership will be activated after the Wi Fi Alliance receives full payment. For existing members, we will charge annual membership fees for the following calendar year, and all payable payments must be made before December 31st.

1. Formal membership

Full members can help develop our certification program and related support technologies, certify products, and have the right to obtain a range of other benefits. The annual fee for formal membership is $15000.

2. Affiliated Membership

Affiliated organizations of formal and sponsored level members are eligible to enjoy a range of membership benefits without the need to pay additional fees. Affiliated members have the same rights as full members, including the ability to use their own company name to authenticate products, but voting rights are still held by companies with full Wi Fi Alliance membership or sponsorship level membership.

For companies eligible to become affiliated members, formal member or sponsor level member enterprises must directly or indirectly (1) control the affiliated company; (2) Controlled by the subsidiary; Or (3) jointly under the control of another enterprise with the subsidiary (the same non member enterprise must control both the member enterprise and the subsidiary).

3. Implementer Member

Implementer members can use previously certified Wi Fi products to authenticate their terminal products. Implementer members use the brand of Wi Fi CERTIFIED to provide users with a simple path, safe interoperability and proven excellent user experience. The additional benefits include attending three annual member meetings and the right to use programming diagrams and verified technical parameters. The annual membership fee for implementers is $5000.

3、 WIFI certification classification

1. Brand new product certification: Wi Fi certification does not have inheritance.

2. Re certification: The product has been certified; The product and Wi Fi related parts have changed.

3. Modification: The product has been certified; The product and Wi Fi related parts remain unchanged.
