IC is the abbreviation of Industry Canada, a government agency responsible for the certification of electronic and electrical products entering the Canadian market. Its responsible products are roughly divided into: broadcasting and television equipment, information technology equipment, radio equipment, telecommunications equipment, engineering and medical equipment, etc.

Similar to the FCC in the United States, the IC currently only limits electromagnetic interference.

Authentication method:

There are two methods available: self verification and Certification authentication.

IC ID: CN (Company Number, up to 6 digits)+UPN (Unique Product Number, up to 8 digits).

Instructions for ID application:

1. Must have Canadian representative address information.

2. The label should include the following information (manufacturer's name or trademark, model name, IC ID number).

Relevant standards for IC certification:

The standards for IC certification are basically consistent with those of FCC, and currently, IC only imposes restrictions on electromagnetic interference.

ICES-001 Analog Devices: Industrial, Scientific, and Medical Radio Frequency Generators

ICES-003 Digital Terminal Equipment: Interference-Causing Equipment Standards Digital Apparatus, such as ICES003: ITE: Product and Computer Peripheral Office Equipment.

Low power wireless RF products for IC RSS Series transmitting and receiving devices. For example, RSS 210, suitable products include wireless mouse and keyboard, wireless remote control toys, and various low-power wireless RF products, CS03 (telecommunications terminal product PSTN).
