CCC certification

1、 Introduction to CCC Certification

CCC certification is also known as 3C certification. The full name of 3C certification is "Compulsory Product Certification System", which is a product qualification evaluation system implemented by governments of various countries in accordance with laws and regulations to protect consumer personal and national safety, strengthen product quality management, and implement. The so-called 3C certification is China Compulsory Certification, or CCC.

2、 Why is 3C certification required?

In order to fulfill China's commitment to join the WTO, adapt to the needs of China's market economy development, and establish a technology evaluation mechanism that is in line with international standards, China has established the China Compulsory Product Certification System (CCC) based on the four unified principles.

CCC is a complete or partial replacement of the original import and export commodity safety and quality licensing system (CCIB), safety certification mandatory supervision system (Great Wall), network access licensing system, sales licensing system, and industrial product production licensing system.

The National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) issued a mandatory product certification system on December 3, 2001, in accordance with the work responsibilities assigned by the State Council. Starting from May 1, 2002, the first batch of certification applications for 132 products in 19 major categories included in the mandatory product certification catalog will be accepted. On May 1st of this year, law enforcement supervision will be implemented for the certification of these products (now postponed to August 1st).

9. Information technology equipment

10. Lighting equipment (2 types in total) (excluding lighting equipment with voltage below 36V), lamps, ballasts

11. Telecommunication terminal equipment

12. Motor vehicles and safety accessories

13. Motor vehicle tires

14. Safety glass

15. Agricultural machinery products

16. Latex rubber condoms

17. Medical device products

18. Fire protection products (3 types in total) Fire alarm equipment

19. Security technology prevention product (1 type in total) intrusion detector (indoor microwave Doppler detector, active infrared intrusion detector, indoor passive infrared detector, microwave and passive infrared composite intrusion detector)

4、 Documents to be prepared for CCC certification

It should be noted that the 3C mark is not a quality mark, but rather a basic safety certification. Some of its indicators represent the safety and quality of the product, but it does not mean that the product's performance is also excellent. Therefore, when purchasing a product, in addition to checking whether it has the 3C mark, other indicators are also important.

List of CCC certification materials provided

1. Documents required for initial application or related information changes

Application for mandatory product certification;

A copy of the applicant's "Enterprise Legal Person Business License" or registration certificate (provided during initial application or change);

Organizational chart of the manufacturer (provided at the time of initial application or change);

Process flow diagram for applying for certification of products (provided during initial application or change);

List of key instruments and equipment for routine inspection (see certification implementation rules for factory quality control testing requirements) (provided during initial application or change);

Product assembly diagram and electrical schematic diagram;

Apply for certification of the product's Chinese nameplate and warning mark (in duplicate);

Apply for certification of the product's Chinese user manual;

Explanation of differences between different models of products within the same application unit;

Appearance photos of each model of product within the same application unit (in duplicate);

Other relevant information required when needed (if there is a CB test report, please provide it).

2. Documents to be provided when applying for similar products again

1) Application for mandatory product certification;

2) Product assembly diagram and electrical schematic diagram;

3) Apply for certification of the product's Chinese nameplate and warning mark (in duplicate);

4) Apply for certification of the product's Chinese user manual;

5) Explanation of differences between different models of products within the same application unit;

6) Appearance photos of each model of product within the same application unit (in duplicate);

7) Other relevant information required when needed (if there is a CB test report, please provide it).
